The Park boasts an unbelievable diversity of fauna and flora and breath-taking landscapes which are home to over 145 mammal species as well as 500 plus bird species. Numerous species hold world records – the biggest land mammal, the tallest animal, the biggest bird, the heaviest flying land bird, the fastest animal, and many more. Africa’s Big 5 also call the Kruger National Park home. The Park is managed in such a way that the natural processes which have taken place over millions of years can carry on with little or no interference while visitors can be witness to this incredible spectacle. Wildlife viewing can be done from a motor vehicle (self drive), an open safari vehicle driven by a qualified and experienced guide, or on foot led by highly trained, armed safari guides.
