The Other Animals Safaris – where in the world does a name like that come from? Well, it is quite simple really. Let me start right at the very beginning. I was working for SanParks, and my lovely partner Dianne, who I had not even met yet, was still living in the Netherlands. During the year of 2001, after the big floods of the year before, a different kind of flood hit the Kruger National Park.

Dianne

This is the lady who puts it all together, ensuring you come here knowing what to expect. Being a seasoned traveller herself, she knows what it takes to go to another country and what it takes to get home again with happy memories! Her views on the world and our wildlife is of a more serious nature and will sometimes be thought provoking and perhaps slightly outside the box.

Frank

This is one of the guides who will ensure that, actually, you had no idea what to expect. His good sense-of-humour carries him in good stead and will ensure you see our world from a less-than-serious perspective. Frank wrote a book called “The Other Animals of The Kruger National Park”, which is, of course, where the name of our business originated. Since he can’t sell ice to an Eskimo, never mind a book to his guests, ask him about his book and if he has any with him he will probably give you a copy.
